Demand Communication and Preliminary Confirmation

The core of this stage is: clarifying product specifications and compliance.

Product information confirmation:

Type: What kind of bean products does the customer want? Dried soybean curd/soybean skin. Refrigerated soybean products.

Raw material requirements: Non-genetically modified. Is organic certification necessary?

Specification details:

Shape / Size / Weight

Packaging forms (vacuum packaging, pallet, gift box)

Customer base: supermarkets, hotels, food supply chain, e-commerce fast-moving consumer goods. Provide packaging weight recommendations.

Compliance survey of the target market:

Confirm the import restrictions on soy products imposed by the target countries (Europe, America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East).

Key points:

The EU has extremely strict requirements for pesticide residues. The FDA of the United States has regulations for low-acid canned foods (if packaged). Some countries prohibit soy products (it is necessary to confirm whether soy-based products are allowed to enter the country).

Trade terms and qualification provision:

Provide the export qualifications of the factory (customs registration number), as well as HACCP/ISO/BRC/halal certifications (if any).

Sample Submission and Confirmation

This is the crucial stage for building trust and confirming the process.

Custom sample production

Samples are made according to the formula of communication, the moisture content, the salt content and the standard of additives.

Note: For export samples, stability during long-distance transportation must be taken into account. They cannot be produced exactly according to the standards of local short-term preservation products (for example, the moisture content should be lower, and the preservation system should be suitable for high temperatures or freezing).

Sample submission method

Standard Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS): Suitable for dry bean products (fermented tofu, fermented skin).

Cold chain sample delivery: Applicable for frozen bean products or fresh tofu. Professional insulated boxes + ice packs/dry ice must be used, and the fastest courier service (such as DHL Global Cold Chain) should be selected.

Sample testing (optional but recommended):

If the customer is responsible for the cost or if it is a major client, it is recommended to attach a third-party test report (such as SGS, BV, etc.) along with the sample. The test items include pesticide residues, heavy metals, microorganisms, preservatives, etc., which will enhance the credibility.

Mass Production

Once the samples are confirmed, the mass production phase begins. The focus is on the traceability of quality control.

Raw material procurement and re-inspection:

Based on the order quantity, non-genetically modified soybeans or other raw materials are locked. Before storage, inspections such as protein content and moisture content are conducted.

Production process control (critical control points):

Stir-frying process: Ensure that the sterilization temperature and time meet the standards.

Drying/Frying/Brining: Precisely control the water activity (Aw value), which is the key to inhibiting bacterial growth.

Metal detection: All products must pass through a metal detector before leaving the factory.

Packaging and Labeling Production:

According to the requirements of the destination country, prepare foreign language labels (nutritional composition table conversion, ingredient list translation, local agent information, storage conditions).

Use packaging materials suitable for sea transportation (such as high-barrier vacuum bags and pressure-resistant outer boxes).

Logistics and Transportation

Bean products are considered sensitive foods, and logistics is the most risky part.

Mode of transportation selection

Dried bean products (fermented tofu, fermented skin): A regular dry goods cabinet will suffice. Inside, moisture-proof silica gel/dryer must be placed to prevent the products from getting damp and moldy due to high humidity at sea.

Frozen bean products (frozen tofu, fried frozen products): Must use refrigerated containers (Reefer Container), set a constant temperature (usually -18°C or the temperature specified by the customer). Advance reservation of the pre-cooling container is required, and a temperature recorder should be used during loading.

Recreational Tofu (at room temperature): If it is a high-temperature sterilized soft canned product, an ordinary cabinet can be used, but be sure to avoid direct sunlight.

Export customs declaration documents:

Invoice, packing list, contract, customs declaration form, commodity inspection and customs clearance form (Bean products are usually classified as goods subject to mandatory inspection. They need to be inspected at the local customs and obtain an electronic ledger).

Insurance:

It is recommended to purchase all risks insurance (All Risks) and the Institute Cargo Clauses for association transportation. Especially for frozen goods, it is necessary to include provisions for machine damage and temperature deviation to prevent power failure in the refrigerated containers during the shipping process.

Arrival documents:

Prepare the origin certificates (Form E, CO, etc.) and health certificates/health permits in advance so that the customers can complete the customs clearance.

Additional suggestions for customers (enhancing professionalism)

When quoting or communicating with foreign customers, you can emphasize the following points, which can demonstrate your professionalism and serve as a basis for bargaining:

"Tailored Shelf Life" (Customized Expiry Period): For different shipping routes (such as 30 days for sea transportation to the United States including customs clearance and shelf placement), we can adjust the formula to ensure that the remaining shelf life is sufficient.

"Anti-moisture Solution" (Anti-Moisture Plan): To address the issue of high humidity during shipping, we have adopted a professional food-grade desiccant packaging solution within the containers.

"Cold Chain Integrity" (Cold Chain Integrity): Provides complete temperature recorder data to ensure that the goods remain at a constant low temperature throughout the transportation process.
